There will be a concert meeting this Thursday at his office at 4:30. Jeff told us that the Rio Theater will be having a free screening about a Russian River documentary Saturday at 3:30.

Program: The students who were unable to make last week's meeting joined us. Jeff had them each give us an introduction and tell us a bit about where they'll be going to school next year and what their future plans were. We then filled the remainder of the time stuffing envelopes for the Fireworks BBQ raffle.

Thought for the Day: From Mike Torr: (filtered through his mom from Eleanor Roosevelt) Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

The Four Way Test

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build good will and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

1st: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

2nd: High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

3rd: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;

4th: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
